Guide for authors

Preparing your manuscript

Authors should submit only papers that have been carefully proofread and polished. Before submission, make sure your paper is prepared using the SJSS paper template; this ensures fast processing and publication.

• Papers must be written in English.
• Papers should not exceed 10 double-column pages in SJSS format.
• Manuscripts must be submitted as a PDF file.

Categories of contribution

1. Original research.
2. Survey and review articles, providing a comprehensive review of a scientific topic.
3. Fast communications: short, self-contained articles on ongoing research.
4. Technical notes.

Submit a paper

Send the following in one email to hello@sioss.se with the subject line “SJSS manuscript submission”:

1. The full paper as a PDF file, prepared with the SJSS paper template.
2. The abstract, in English.
3. The keywords.
4. Author details: paper title, full names of all authors in order, each author’s institution and country, and the corresponding author’s email address.
5. A statement that the paper has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

Publication fee

The publication fee is USD 100 per paper. Payment details are sent to the author by email.

After you submit

• Each manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been submitted for publication elsewhere, unless it is a conference paper.
• All papers are refereed, and the editorial office reserves the right to refuse any manuscript.
• Acceptance or rejection notification is sent to all authors.
• Authors of accepted papers receive proofs for the correction of errors; proofs should be returned within 6 days.
